Structure

This club is a very informal, loosely-knit, friendly group whose main goal is sponsoring AGS sanctioned Nigerian Dwarf shows throughout the United States under the club’s insurance umbrella.  It will also supply information of all kinds about our favorite goat breed such as DHI information, goat management tips, show mentoring and posting of show results, etc. 

There are no officers in this club, just the founders as follows:

Club Rules

The founders will solicit input from the members on all club decisions.  The only rule is that the club remains friendly.

Membership Fees

National Membership:

The yearly fee for the National Membership is $25.00 per farm, which will entitle you to apply for club sponsorship of your shows, listing of your farm on the website (in banner ad or business card form), access to the Member's Section and free enrollment in the club's show/DHI email list.

Club Membership:

The Club Membership is open to all those in the greater New Jersey area.  The club will work together to put on shows and provide support for the local Nigerian breeders. The yearly membership fee is $10.00 per farm, which will entitle you to be listed on the website, participate in the club, access to the Member's Section and free enrollment in the club's show/DHI email list.  This membership must be upgraded to a National Membership in order to sponsor a show.  

Shows

A member wishing to hold an NU-sanctioned show  must apply for it by filling out the Nigerians Unlimited Show Sanction Form and must have a National Membership.  A table of what each level of show sanction covers is shown in Table 1.  Written explanations of what each level of the show sanction covers is listed below.

Level One – Insurance Only

You do all the work, including all the paperwork.  You choose and contact the judges and take care of their needs. You bear all expenses except insurance costs, and you keep all the income. We will send you a sample show catalog/entry form that you can change to suit your needs.  List yourself as the sponsor, with Nigerians Unlimited as co-sponsor.

Fee - $25.00 per day.

Level Two – NU Shares The Work

All of Level One plus:  One of the club founders (usually Gail Putcher) will do all the paperwork, including applying for the sanction, receiving entries, making up the program (which will be e-mailed to you to print), and sending out (by e-mail attachment only) the results of the show as supplied by you.

Fee - $25.00 per day + 50 cents per entry per day.  If you have more than one show on one day, it’s still only 50 cents per entry.  However, if you have shows on more than one day, the 50 cents fee per entry per day will apply to subsequent shows.

Level Three – NU Does All The Work

All of Level One and Level Two plus:  If you are within four hours of the club founder performing the duty of show secretary, she/he will physically come to your show and do the work on show day(s). 

Fee - $25.00 per day +50 cents per entry per day + all expenses of the show secretary, including, but not limited to transportation, tolls, housing and meals.
